Laser Center Capabilities/ Tolerances

Glass encoder controlled X-Y position table capable of accuracies of +/- 1 micrometer and repeatability of +/- 0.5 micrometer. Rotary stage capable of 6 arc second resolution and 15 arc second accuracy.

Metal Cutting

Variety of metals from .001” to .075” thick. Smallest kerf width on thin gauge material is .0025”. X –Y table has 18” x 18” travel. Rotary tube cutting up to 10” in length x 1.5” diameter.

Laser Welding

Deep penetration, 90% overlap hermetic pulse seal welding. Spot welding as small as .005”. Fiber optic laser head allows ultra precise welds while maintaining accurate weld depths. Laser welding provides dissimilar metal joining without filler materials.

Drilling

High pulse output combined with short pulse duration provide precise percussion drilling. 10:1 hole-to-material thickness ratio capability.
