Photo Etching Process Typical Manufacturing Steps
Step #1 |
Via
customer's blueprint, or electronic transfer file, VACCO's photographic
artwork is laser plotted to exacting specifications. |
Step #2 |
VACCO employs either dryfilm or liquid resist
for the transfer of the photographic image to the panel of material. |
Step #3 |
Microprocessor controlled UV exposure ensures
exact image transfer from the precision photographic artwork to
the panel of material. |
Step # 4 |
As
one of the largest commercial etching facilities in the U.S., VACCO's
multiple etching lines offer both high volume capacity and prototype
flexibility. Etch operators employ SPC on all products. |
Step #5 |
Proprietary
formulations are often used on critical applications. Pictured

resist removal solution. |
Step #6 |
Visual
inspection, assembly, testing and other operations are performed
in a dust-controlled environment. |
Step #7 |
VACCO
remains proactive on environmental responsibility. An automated
wastewater facility is supported by our on-site staffed chemical
analysis laboratory. |
