Photo Etched Multilayer Panel Screen for the Medical Industry

VACCO Industries is a leading precision photo chemical etching manufacturer specializing in large panel etching. Recently, one of our customers in the medical sector asked VACCO to design and manufacture photo etched multilayer panel screens. For this project, the Multi-Fab group used their advanced primary photo etching process on ten sheets, followed by stacking, precise registration and spot welding. VACCO’s commitment is to quality assurance, part precision and repeatability.

The product shown below is a multilayer panel screen etched from stainless steel for use in medical applications. VACCO’s, Multi-Fab photo chemical etching team operated 2-sided wet etch conveyor lines to process large sheets.

Multilayer Panel Screen

Each part measured 65″ long, 24″wide with a screen thickness of 0.006″. VACCO’s process produced tight tolerances with features held to ± 0.0008″, and registration of the hole pattern to ± 0.002″ after stacking. VACCO maintains high standards for each panel screen produced. Additional project highlights are listed in the table below.
